I am so honored to be your president for the 2009-2010 year. When it comes to my experiences with the Missouri Jaycee Wives / Women, Jaycees and now the JCI Senate, there are very few words I can find to describe my appreciation of what it has meant to me. One word that occurs to me though, is “Privilege”. We have all had the privilege to be a part of an organization that cultivated our minds, enhanced our careers and taught us how to make our communities a better place. Somewhere along the way, another gift we received as a result of our membership was lifelong friendships and terrific memories of adventures along the way. That is why we can spend hours in the hospitality room remembering the fun we had and the trouble we got into….together!

It is my intention to spend this year reminding everyone of the good times, the fun and the adventures we experienced. At the same time, I would encourage you all to look for some of the friends we haven’t seen for awhile and invite them back. Also, let’s find and offer new friends the opportunities we’ve had in the Missouri JCI Senate. I consider it a privilege to pass along our good fortune, as well.

We invite you to enjoy your friendships this year, and renew forgotten ones. The Missouri Senate has a terrific tradition of extending our hearts as well as our hands.

It will be a privilege to serve you this year.
