What a great year we have had so far !! We started the year with a Funtastic Social at the Springdale swimming pool in Fenton this social was chaired by Lori Vincent #54021. Bernard Thompson #52497 hosted the Show Me Bash in August, where we learned it is better to play croquet in short grass. The washers competition revealed many “hidden skills” from a few of our Senators. We had fabulous weather for both of these events and a great time was had by all that who attended. I hope that great weather continues as we do more events in the upcoming months J Several Return the Favor hours were spent in July working at the BBQ stand at the Jefferson City Jaycees Fair chaired by Donna DeLaney #55560. We have continued to help the Jaycees all over the state with over 73 Senators spending over 2,450 hours Returning the Favor!!! I realize there are more of you assisting/mentoring the Jaycees at their projects and meetings, so let’s make sure and turn your hours into Ernie Lea #60650. With these events we were able to activate more Senators and add new members so that we ended the first quarter at growth!

This weekend will be our first meeting of the year. The meeting will be at 10:30 Saturday morning in the Arkansas/Illinois room of the Kansas City Mariott. We will have our National Senate President Pat Hoelker #45893 and her husband Skip joining us for the weekend! There will be other guests from Nebraska as well coming, so let’s have a BIG showing of members there this weekend.

The dress for the meeting will be Black Shirts and if you are planning on attending the Banquet wear your Royal Blue with your Tuxes. Come to the meeting and see what “COOL BLUE” is all about

We have been having a “COOL BLUE” time in Missouri and now it is time to start traveling to other states. September 26 will take us to Seattle Washington, for the Fall BOD meeting. On October 4th we will be going to Nebraska to watch the MU Tigers BEAT the Cornhuskers!!! Region VI Vice President Randy Johnson #56636 will be hosting his first Region VI meeting on October 10th in St Paul MN. It’s not too late to make your travel plans and show your support for Randy.
